Saving Granddaddy’s Stories

As a boy living high atop Beech Mountain in North Carolina, Ray Hicks loved his grandfathers stories because he told them the Appalachian way. After his grandfathers death, Ray continued to tell these stories to anyone who would listen, and in time a lot of people did. Jimmy Neil Smith, president of the International Story Center, called Ray "the best-known traditional storyteller in the United States." Most folks just called him "The Voice of Appalachia." This is a hardback book.
